Exporting from RBC Royal Bank.
About a minute, on RBC Royal Bank's website. Berm has been tested on a file laid out like the one it gives you.
The steps
- Sign in to RBC Online Banking and open your chequing account.
- Choose Download, above the transactions.
- Choose CSV and which transactions to include.
- Choose Continue and save the file.
One file can hold more than one account, each row saying which. Download one account at a time, or Berm reads them as one.
What the file holds
- One amount column, under CAD$ or USD$ by the account’s currency: money out is negative.
- Dates month first, without leading zeros (8/13/2026).
- No running balance, so Berm asks for your balance once, on a slider.
Then
Open Berm and choose the file on the Import card. It is read on your device and never uploaded; Berm says what it found in each column before anything is added, and importing the same file twice changes nothing.
