Exporting from Charles Schwab.
About a minute, on Charles Schwab's website. Berm has been tested on a file laid out like the one it gives you.
The steps
- Sign in at schwab.com and go to Accounts, then History.
- Choose your checking account and the Transactions view.
- Set the dates.
- Choose Export, above the table, and CSV.
Pending payments are in the file too, marked as such. Berm leaves them out until they post.
What the file holds
- Money out and money in in separate columns.
- Dates month first (08/13/2026).
- A running balance, so Berm reads your balance from the file itself.
Then
Open Berm and choose the file on the Import card. It is read on your device and never uploaded; Berm says what it found in each column before anything is added, and importing the same file twice changes nothing.
