Exporting from Scotiabank.
About a minute, on Scotiabank's website. Berm has been tested on a file laid out like the one it gives you.
The steps
- Sign in to Scotiabank online banking on a computer.
- On Accounts, choose your chequing account.
- Choose the download icon at the top of the transactions.
- Choose CSV and the dates, then download the file.
Pending payments are listed too, marked as such. Berm leaves them out until they post.
What the file holds
- Amounts have no sign; a column beside them says Debit or Credit.
- Dates year first (2026-08-13).
Then
Open Berm and choose the file on the Import card. It is read on your device and never uploaded; Berm says what it found in each column before anything is added, and importing the same file twice changes nothing.
